The Goering Center for Private and Family Business 2006 Family Business of the Year award honors family businesses from Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia in four categories; companies with over 100 employees, companies with under 100 employees, corporate innovation, and community involvement. Winning companies are judged on the basis of their positive family linkage, business success, multiple family member and/or generation involvement, contributions to the community and industry, and for their innovative business practices, products and/or strategies.
